Around 10 years ago I started to collect images of the Queen wearing single colour outfits, which is a tradition she has done a lot throughout her life. I decided I wanted to draw them and collect as many as I could to make up all the colours of the rainbow of these iconic outfits. Even without a drawn face the images are so iconic and instantly recognisable.
This lead to me making cards, which I sold through my Etsy shop, later introducing a tea towel, which was voted as the number 1 Jubilee tea towel by the Daily Mail.
During this time I also started to collect iconic single colour outfit images of both Diana and Kate, which I now sell as both cards and tea towels.
At present I am designing Queen, Diana and Kate tote bags, cushions covers and wash-bags, which will be available in my Etsy shop and here - hopefully before the end of the year.
I am also slowly working on one of a kind Rainbow Queen prints.
Last year a lovely lady in East London screen printed the black outlines of my Queen design on to paper, which will slowly be hand coloured them with a variety of materials from watercolour to metallic leaf, so that each piece is a truly unique celebration of the wonderful outfits the Queen has worn over the years.
